Sweet Sunday-Super Bowl Edition

Hi everyone and welcome to Sweet Sunday!!! Today I have some sweet treats that my daughter and I made for the super bowl party we are attending today.

I've wanted to make dipped marshmallow pops for some time and my daughter and I were home yesterday...it was raining...felt like the perfect day to try them out! You will need the following:

1. lollipop sticks (found at any large craft store)
2. big marshmallows
3. chocolate and white candy melts (or any color)
4. sprinkles or something to roll your marshmallow around in

First up...put the sticks in the marshmallows:

Dip the marshmallows int he melted candy melts. We dipped them all the way to the top of the marshmallow, but not covering the top.

Then immediately dip into your sprinkles!!

We also melted milk chocolate candy melts and dipped in sprinkles.

Now I know this isn't a new or novel idea, but the fact that my daughter could do everything (except melt the chocolate and take it out of the microwave) was really cool. She had a blast making all these and was so proud when she was done. She cannot wait to go to the party today and tell everybody SHE made them!

While she was dipping marshmallows, I was making Football Brownie Bites. So super easy...all you need is a boxed brownie mix, an oval cookie cutter, milk chocolate candy melts and some white frosting.

First, mix the brownie mix as the box directs and bake it. Let it cool out of the oven for a bit. Then cut oval shaped brownies right out of the pan.

Melt some milk chocolate candy melts. Dip the top of each brownie into the melted candy melts. I tried to smooth out the tops, but it didn't always work too well!

When the top chocolate layer is dry, decorate with a #4 wilton tip using the white frosting. Look at the footballs!!!

These were sooo easy!! My son got me a graduated set of circle cookie cutters for Christmas and I can wait to try this with soccer balls and softballs. Just a fun little way to dress up your brownies.

Thanks for stopping by today for Sweet Sunday! We are off to our super bowl party later, I really don't care who wins. I'm just there for the beer and food. Hee hee!!
