3 Scrappy Boys CROP this weekend!

If you need an excuse to scrapbook this weekend, check out the Back To School Crop over at 3 Scrappy Boys! We have tons of challenges and some awesome classes going on this weekend. I am going to share my class for making a gift bow using patterned paper. This is so easy and fun and really adds a punch to any gift bag, treat box or goodie bag.

What you need:

8 strips of paper 1 inch x 6 inches
4 strips of paper 1 inch x 5 inches
1 strip of paper 1 inch x 4 inches
brads
pop dots or foam adhesive
regular adhesive
hole punch

Start by folding your 1x6 inch paper strips together at the ends, like this:

If you are using double sided paper, decide what pattern will be on the outside. Use regular adhesive to kept the ends together.

Punch holes in the ends of 4 of the 1x6 inch strips.

Thread all 4 holes through a brad. The brad does not have to match, since you will not see it in the final product.

Do this will all 3 sets of 4 paper strips. You will end up with 2 'flowers' using the 1x6 inch strips and 1 'flower' using the 1x5 inch strip. Fold the final 1x4 inch strip into a circle.

Now layer them all together using 3-D pop dots or foam adhesive. The bottom layer is the 1x6 inch flower, then layer another 1x6 inch flower on top. Add the 1x5 inch flower, then add the 1x4 inch circle.

Here are a couple I made to top some wood boxes that I painted. You can use patterned paper, cardstock, or a combination of the two.

So come on over to the 3 Scrappy Boys crop this weekend. I also have a sketch challenge posted and there are lots of other fun challenges to get finished. Hope to see you there!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
