Blooming Wonderful Ideas-MTME Release Day!

Happy May 1st everybody! It's release day at My Time Made Easy and Lauren and the design team have some great projects to share today. I am really excited to share my project today because it's a bit unusual for this time of year. I want you all to meet my penguin friend!

Isn't he cute??? There is a new template this month called Treasured and it looks just like a treasure box. Lauren challenged us to see it as something else...and a penguin was my first thought. I had so much fun putting this together with my kids. They helped me get the face and feet and wings just right. And it's a great sized box, check out how deep it is!

I used the It's Snowing cut files to create these snowflakes and the Plum Pretties papers for embellishing. Inside the box you will find some hot cocoa and marshmallows. Just perfect for keeping you warm on this beautiful May day!

And a cute little 3.5 x 3.5 inch card to also go inside the penguin box. I used the Warm Sentiments stamp set for the sentiment.

I used the Warm Sentiment stamp set and the It's Snowing cut files to create the sign my penguin is holding. I just punched a hole in his wing and secured the sign with my hot glue gun.

Now I know most of you are not looking for a warm cup of cocoa in May but this just goes to show how versatile these templates are! I am sure I will find a good home for this little guy when the weather gets colder in the winter.
