Teacher Appreciation Week

This week was Teacher Appreciation Week at my kid's school. One of the days, my kids were supposed to bring their teacher a sweet treat. I wanted to make something that my kids could make and have it not to be complicated. So we decided on chocolate dipped pretzels. Super easy and we had some fun spring colors sprinkles for decorating. While the kids dipped pretzels, I dug out some paint cans i've had in my closet forever! No time like the present to alter them!! I made three of these for my kid's teachers...

I used the Egg Drop Soup line from Jillibean Soup and some kraft cardstock. That darn tag just wouldn't stay still for my photo!! I cut and layered some Cricut flowers for the front of each can.

I just picked up that border punch. It's by Martha Stewart and my local Michael's had a whole wall of her punches for only $6. They must be clearing out old styles, so I grabbed one quick! I love it.

Here's the front of the tag:

I used my 'new to me' stamp set called Tiny Treats from Papertrey Ink. I am in love! So many cute little images and saying!! My only issue was getting full ink coverage on the solid stamp. The stamp was brand new, so I ran an eraser over it before inking it, but I still couldn't get full ink coverage. Any stampers want to help me with that??? :-)

Here are the yummy pretzels...

So simple! I had some candy melts from Michael's and some sprinkles...heat up the candy melts in the microwave for a minute and dip half way...add sprinkles. Done!! Something my kids can do all by themselves. We all did get a bit carried away and made a ton of pretzels. So we made some goodie bags for some other friends.

I punched circles from some Bo Bunny scraps I had and used more images from my Tiny Treats stamp set. These are sooo cute!!

Again, i'm having issues getting full coverage with that solid stamp. Help!!

I'm so happy this week is over and it's Friday! Hope you have a fabulous weekend...thanks for stopping by!

Such cute gift pails! I was down to the wire with teachers gifts today so no photos :( Have you tried stamping on foam board? Sometimes I get a better full impression that way (trick I learned from Stephanie Bernard's blog).

Those are GREAT teacher treats! I also have troubles inking solid stamps so tend to avoid them. Your tags are so cute, I may have to rethink getting those cute images!

Oh super cute! :) Love love your pails! For the impression... I stamp on a mousepad or a magazine sometimes to help... And with some large images I use the roll-a-blocks for help too.
