Digital Stamps and Coloring

Hi Everyone!! This month over at the Crop Suey Challenge blog, the March prize is sponsored by DigiStampCharacters. I have to admit, I have never used a digital image before. I'm not that great at coloring images but thought I would just dive right in. The great thing about digital images is if you mess it up, it's easy to get another one!

This card was a tester. I wanted to make something with the image before creating my sample for the Crop Suey March challenge. I used some Echo Park Life Is Good paper and pulled out my watercolor pencils.

Isn't she cute!!! I love her little feet and the cute bird on the mailbox. And I also had fun going through my bling bag for a little something extra for the card. Do you have random embellishment bags? When I start losing the packaging and using up only half the pack of bling, I tend to throw it all into a big bag. It's fun going through it to see what I have to use. I found this blingy pink flower to add.

It was fun doing all that coloring. I don't know if I want to dive into the world of Copic markers. It's very overwhelming thinking about it and I have no idea what colors I would even start with. Anybody with Copic experience? Do you like them? Use them alot? Think they are not worth the money? I would love any opinions!!

Thanks for stopping by, friends!

Very beautiful and adorable card!!
Your coloring turned out really awesome!!
I have Copics too!
I bought some for the 1st time last April.
What I do because I only use them only once in awhile!
I bought the basic of the colors I think I have about 15 or 20.
Your suppose to by 3 of each color but for shading purposes you want 3 shades for each color.
I bought blue, red, pink, brown, green, and cream. Then I bought one red, 1 yellow, 1 black, and 1 gray.
I only bought one red to use for lips, the yellow for hair, gray & the black for eyelashes and the gray for animals.
The 4 colors I bought seperate were because I do not use these colors that often so thats why I did not invest in the 3 shades for these colors.
Try Queenscraps.com and see if they have any copics left shes having a close out sale.
Go to the site and click on store and find the copics. I think she still has some left at 40 or 50 off each one.
You might have to sign up to view the store don't remember.
Another think I did to save was buy them when people had the buy two get one free that can save you a lot of money along with the sales.
Any other questions please let me know.
Hugs!

So super cute. I do love Copics, but I dont use them enough. I keep eyeing my stamps and Copics though. NOw that I am on a super strict scrappy budget I think it would really help me do more with what I already have.

This card is absolutely adorable!! That little girl is too cute.

I haven't tried copics nor do I plan to....I spend enough of scrap supplies as is...I certainly don't want to find something that I will "need" to accumulate!

I love this card! Such a CUTE image!! I love how the ribbon helps the color pop on the image.

I use Copics. I LOVE them. They are really pricey but there are deals out there. I started out by using just the flesh colored one and it was instant love. I've slowly built up my scrawny collection. I only own about 25 colors. I've found tricks on how to make one color a few different shades. If I had more time to craft I would say Yes I use them alot and think they are worth the money. I am not artistic at all but the copics blend so well that I can fake it. ;) Let me know if you have any more questions I'd love to help.

Cute, cute, cute! And I love my watercolors. I find them so much easier (and cheaper) to use than copics.
