Monkey Bread

I love breakfast. And I love something sweet for breakfast. Give me pancakes, waffles, cinnamon rolls, cookies, leftover apple pie (that's fruit, right??). And with my love for sweet breakfasts, I can't believe I had not tried Monkey Bread yet. Well, I fixed that situation.

Monkey bread is super easy. In fact, most recipes call for already made biscuit dough. The morning I decided to make it, I didn't want to drive to the store for the biscuit dough. So I just whipped up my favorite batch of bread dough. I let it rise, and then got started.

First up, cinnamon and sugar. In a bowl.

I started breaking off small pieces of dough and rolled them into a ball. Then threw them into the mix.

After rolling around the dough balls so they are fully coated, I stacked them in my bundt pan.

I then took a stick of butter and some brown sugar and melted it all together in the microwave. Between 30 seconds and 1 minute should do the trick.

After it's all melted, pour on top of the bundt pan. Don't be worried if it looks like too much, it won't be in the end.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 35 minutes. Let it cool for about 10 minutes before flipping it out of the pan. Then dig into the ooey gooey goodness!!

Sooo yummy!!! This is a fun thing for kids to help make and eat. It would be a great sleep over breakfast, for Christmas morning breakfast, or weekend breakfast or midnight snack.

It would be even easier if I actually had biscuit dough. I need to remember to buy some. I hope you had a great Halloween weekend! I am ready for the week now that i'm all fueled up on Monkey bread. Thanks for stopping by!!

When my grandkids were home a couple weeks ago, we made one of these every day for 4 days. They loved it and it was something they could make.

Oooohhh...that looks tasty. I used to make monkey bread with daycare kids. It was so easy even the toddlers could help, and of course EVERYONE loved to dig in at snack time! I might need to make some soon!
