We Are Happy!

We are so happy right now. Both Kevin and Kayla love school and have adjusted to their new schedules. Everybody is just on a roll right now with school and work and life. Just lots of smiles and good times and NOT alot of tantrums and fights and not getting along. Just lots of happy! We went to the Santa Barbara Zoo today, even though it was pouring rain. Wasn't really raining by the time we got there, but the kids thought it was a great adventure when it started to sprinkle a bit. We then went to the Pier, got huge waffle cone ice creams and walked along the beach. So much fun, the kids were great and we had a blast!! Can't you tell???

Scrap 'N Supply Shack Reveal!!

I am so excited for our first reveal! The October kit, All Hallows Eve, was so much fun to play with. Some super fun papers by S.E.I. and Creative Imaginations, lots of cardstock, journaling cards from Maya Road, Thickers, an acrylic stamp and a Maya Road 4x4 chipboard album. And more!!! I had alot of fun making these spooky layouts and cards:




I used the Maya Road chipboard album to make this wall hanging for my house. I stickled the inside of the letters for added sparkle!!

Color Me Daisy Reveal Time!

It's October 1st...and that means reveal day! It's the reveal of Color Me Daisy's October kit Funky Fashion Show. Wow, this kit is amazing. Pink Paislee and American Craft papers, glittery Thickers, swirly felt, Pink Paislee rubons, and these cool American Craft felt flowers. Definitely one of my favorites!!

My Sweet Baby Girl is 5

Okay, where does the time go? I thought it was just last week that I was bringing home this...

But wait...then she started doing THIS alot...

But then she got cute again...started to smile...

But still doing this...

Thank goodness for cameras because those months are a blur in my mind. Having a colickly newborn and a 20 month old...what were we thinking??? Well, she grew out of the crying, and we decided to keep her! And then 5 years flew by. She is such a beautiful, opinioned, girly, musical, creative, wonderful 5 year old! Happy Birthday baby girl!

Finally!!!

I was fighting with blogger all last week. I kept getting error messages when I tried to post, it was driving me crazy!! I am hoping this gets through. I have been wanting to post some layouts I completed on my scrap retreat last weekend. Here are a few of my favorites:

I also have some FUN news to share. I was chosen to be part of the design team at Scrap'n Supply Shack!!!! It's a great group of girls and we are all working hard for our first reveal using the October kit. Go check out the sneak peak...it's a great spooky kit with lots of wonderful embossed paper and great shaped cardstock! I am really excited about this opportunity, so stay tuned for our first reveal!!!

I can finally share

I made a bunch of gifts to give to my secret sister at my scrap retreat this past weekend and now that she has them, I can finally share on the blog! I had fun altering some wood frames and wood blocks. First time for the wood blocks and the rounded edges were giving me fits. But I figured it out and I like how they turned out.

For this frame, I bought some crackle medium from my local craft store and used it between the orange and black paints layers. Turned out pretty cool.


This one I covered with blue jeans paper and added some little boy embellies.


These are the wood blocks. My hubbie cut them for me from a redwood 4x4 we had in the garage. Some of the edges are rounded and I had a hard time getting the edges to meet up. But I figured it out and they turned out okay!


One more, I bought this frame a Home Goods and turned it into a home accent by adding just a bit of paper and a few buttons! The opening in this frame is 8x10, so it's a good size.



I think she liked everything and we had a fantastic time on the retreat. I did accomplish some scrappy things and had lots of other fun, too!!! Now...I need to make more cards for the craft fair!
